Dreamcatcher

I'm sorry for the lack of posts this month, but there should be lots of fun things to come in December! I am especially excited for Christmas time! :)

Yesterday, I made some tribal patterned leggings, and I love the way they turned out! I managed to take some photos really quickly this morning. I wanted to get a few more, but it was way too windy and wet.

Pizza Delivery

Hey! Nicole and I ordered pizza today, and we had it delivered to our house. It was so exciting because it was the first time we have ever had a pizza delivered. Usually, we just go to the pizza place and get it ourselves, but it was really cold and snowy outside today!

The lady who delivered the pizza was very kind, but she must have been freezing!
I paid the woman and gave her a tip. Then, Nicole and I thanked her and took the pizza. We couldn't wait to eat! As soon as she was gone, we ran into the living room and opened the box.

Nicole poured grape juice into two red, plastic cups while I put the pizza on a plate on the table. Then, I prayed and we chowed down!

It was so much fun to order a pizza, but it was even better to share it with my sister.

DIY Doll Food: Hot Chocolate

Here is the hot chocolate tutorial I promised. I hope you like it! They are pretty easy to make and don't require much sewing.

You will need:
• White felt
• A spool of white thread (a little bigger than your doll's hand)
• Needle
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun
• White stuffing or cotton balls (not shown)
• Brown fabric (not shown)
• Some thread in a color of your choice (optional)

Ignore the ruler; you do not need it
unless you want to use it to help you cut straight lines.

First, cut a rectangle of white felt that is as tall as your spool of thread. The long side should be able to wrap around the spool with a little excess. Fold it in half and sew both sides together near the edge. Cut of a little bit of the extra fabric off of the sewn side, and turn it inside out.

Next, cut a circle that is a tad larger than the bottom of your spool of thread. It is really important that you thread your needle with white thread now! Pull the piece that you sewed earlier over the spool, and place the circle piece on top.

Sew the circle to the other piece using blanket stitches.

Cut a small strip of white felt, for the handle piece, but make sure it is not too short. Squeeze some hot glue onto half of it, and fold it in half. Test to see if it fits  the cup, as shown in the Picture below. Trim if necessary, and hot glue it to the seam of the cup.

Then, fill the cup with stuffing or cotton balls until it is about 3/4 full. Cut a circle that is a little larger than the top of the cup from the brown fabric. It should not be perfectly round. Put hot glue around the edges of it, and place the circle into the cup, on top of the stuffing. Be sure to press the edges of the brown fabric against the inside of the cup. Now you have hot chocolate!

If you would like, you can sew a simple design on the front, for decoration. I like to sew little hearts onto mine! You could also do something like a star or a snowflake. I hope your dollies enjoy their cocoa! :)

Hot Chocolate, Anyone?

Hey, girls! It's the coolest American Girl ever, Nicole! ...HAHA! JUST KIDDING!!! HANNAH IS THE BEST!... Sorry! I totally did not write that. Anyways, I was thinking of a good way to make a little cash, and selling hot chocolate was the perfect idea, especially since it is really cold outside. I bundled up in warm, comfy clothes, and Kelsey helped me set up a stand for selling hot chocolate

Do you like my sign? I had to inform everyone that my hot chocolate is toasty and tasty!

At first, nobody even gave me a dime. Then, Hannah bought some hot chocolate. She is my sister, so it wasn't much of an accomplishment, but that was very kind of her. One dollar is better than nothing!

Then, it hit me- I completely forgot that there were marshmallows in the pantry! I quickly went inside to get them while Hannah watched the stand. Then, I added a message to my sign so that everyone would know about my mallows!

After that, I sold a lot more hot chocolate! Samantha and Kailey even bought some! It was so fun to share some with my friends.

Here is some hot chocolate for you!

P.S. Look out for a hot chocolate tutorial coming soon! Thanks for reading! ~Kelsey

Friends and French Braids

Hello! It's Hannah here! This weekend, Nicole, Kailey, and I had a sleepover, and it was really fun! We all had braids in our hair, and we wore our coziest pajamas.

We decided to play Apples to Apples first because that is our favorite card game. Have you ever played Apples to Apples? It is really fun!
Kailey's answers were the best! One time, she picked the card "my grandpa" to go with "furry." That game gets so funny... classic!

Then, we ate some yummy snacks while telling stories. It was kind of hard to understand Nicole, though because she was laughing really hard and stuffing her face with popcorn.

After all of the laughing and snacking, we were getting a little tired. We sat on the bed and read the latest American Girl magazine.

Finally, we all decided it was time to go to sleep. I made sure Kailey got to sleep in the bed. She is our guest, after all. We fell sound asleep almost immediately after we were snuggled up under our blankets.
