Happy Halloween!

     Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic, candy-filled day! I made a 1920s flapper girl costume for my doll, Nicole. I hope you all like it! The dress was a lot of work to make because I sewed it by hand, and I sewed all of the tiny beads onto the front. I was thinking about adding fringes, but I didn't because I was really ready to be done with it! The bracelets are actually my own, and I wrapped them around her hand twice.
    

   

Fall Fun

    Hello, there! I have been loving this beautiful fall weather, so I decided to do an outdoor photoshoot with Hannah. I hope you like it!

     I took these pictures in a tree, and some of them are on a small platform made of sticks. It was kind of scary to take pictures of her standing in it, because the fort was an even height with my face. I was nervous that my doll would fall! :P

Lastly, I took a photo of Hannah lying down on the stick fort. Scary aerial photos that require you to climb trees are not recommended!

I like to post craft tutorials because I have a lot of fun making things.

My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas because it is one of the most meaningful. I also love all of the traditions that come with it, especially the yummy treats and picking out gifts for family and friends.

3. What would you like to see me post more of?

I would like to see more photo stories and photoshoots!

4. What's your favorite thing about fall?

My favorite thing about fall is the weather. I like wearing warm, comfy clothes.

Cake Catastrophe

I am posting my first photostory today! It's not anything fancy, but I hope you like it. Please let me know if you want to see more! Thank you!

   "This cake looks so good! I can't wait to eat it!" Hannah said to herself.

     Libby thought it looked good, too!

     "No, Libby!" Hannah yelled.

     "This cake is for girls like Nicole and me, not for dogs! No eating our food!"

     Realizing she really needed to use the restroom, Hannah ran out of the kitchen.

     Just then, Nicole walked in. She couldn't help but notice the scrumptious cake someone left out on the counter. 

     "Hannah!" Nicole called. No one answered. 

     "I'm sure Hannah wouldn't mind if I ate a piece of her cake," she thought.

     Nicole put a slice of cake on a plate and walked to her room to eat it.

     When Hannah came back to the kitchen, where Libby was sleeping on the floor, she saw that some of the cake was missing.

     "Now, Libby, what did I tell you about eating our food?" Hannah scolded.

DIY Doll Food: Cake Slices!

     Does your doll need something sweet to snack on? You can make her some delicious and fluffy cake!

  You will need:
- a thin sponge (preferably yellow)
- a tube of Puffy paint (or any other fabric paint) the color that you want your icing to be
- Scissors
- a cup or glass

     First, keep your cup in place on the sponge, and carefully cut around it.

     Then, cut your sponge in half, and cut each half into two pieces. Now, you should have for equal slices. It's okay if they're a little uneven!

     Squeeze and spread fabric paint on the tops of two pieces.

     Stack one piece on top of each, and spread some fabric pain onto the sides of the seam.

     Then, cover the top and the curved side with more fabric paint. Let it dry for a few hours before serving to dolls.

American Girl Magazine!

     Hello, there! Long time, no see! :) I recently subscribed to the American Girl magazines, and the first one came in yesterday. I ordered the special holiday package that comes with three books because... why not?

     There was a lot more than my pictures in the magazine, but I picked out a few neat things.
    
     Overall, I think it is great for younger or older girls. It's full of snack recipes, crafts, stories written by girls, good advice, quizzes (the fun kind!) and much more. I definitely think that the stories and advice, for the most part, can be relatable for all age groups.

     Here is a fall snack recipe that is is unfortunately titled, "Corn-y Concoction." At first glance, I thought, "gross!" I first imagined something like creamed corn and whipped cream. Thankfully, it turned out to be made of fruit.

     Later, there are some clever ideas for Halloween-themed candy bark. They look so clever and delicious!

     

 More snacks! I just might have to try some of these after school!

    

      One of my favorite parts was this amazing chalkboard poster. The cover of the magazine literally says, "Chalkboard Poster-Really Works!" When I tried it out, it was just like a real chalkboard! It's so much fun!

     There were two winners from a previous writing contest, and their stories were both published in the magazine. I really enjoyed reading them, and I liked the illustrations, too!

      

    The American Girl magazine is really great for all girls! I totally recommend it!

    

A New Fall Outfit

     I finished sewing an outfit for my doll earlier! It took me about six hours to make because I sew everything by hand. On Pinterest, I kept seeing an outfit from Etsy that looked something like this, and I had similar fabrics, so I decided to make one like it! I made the shirt, the skirt, and the legwarmers. Actually, I didn't finish the legwarmers because I was really tired of sewing, but they worked! The boots are from American Girl, and I found them in a box in the garage with my sisters' old American Girl stuff. I think they were part of Samantha's collection in the early 2000's.

I love these boots! They are like little combat boots!
